Facility is being placed on inventory <br /> with the EHD (San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department) as a hazardous waste generator <br /> at this location. No waste has been hauled away for disposal yet. <br /> ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (305, 404, 605, 610, 703, 808) <br /> 305. The metal container used as secondary containment for a 55 gallon steel drum of used oil in the <br /> north shop building was observed with liquid and sludge inside. All facility communications and alarm <br /> systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, shall be <br /> tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Spill <br /> containment shall be maintained clean and dry at all times so as to detect a leak at the earliest <br /> opportunity. Immediately remove and properly dispose of all hazardous waste from spill containment, and <br /> maintain all spill containment clean and dry at all times. <br /> 404. A 55 gallon blue steel drum of used oil was observed behind the shop with an open bung hole. A <br /> blue plastic tub of used oil was observed open in the north shop. All hazardous waste containers shall be <br /> closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and <br /> ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. The tub was <br /> emptied into a properly closed used oil drum at the time of inspection. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANYTIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE <br /> mwsaor Rece By: rite: <br /> EHD 22-02 kZY41 Page 4 HW INSPECTION REPORT <br />
