All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. Spill containment shall be maintained clean and dry at all times. Immediately begin <br /> this practice. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> A 30 gallon drum of used antifreeze was observed with an accumulation start date of 1/5/14. Two 55 gallon drums of <br /> used oil were observed with accumulation start dates of 10/31/14. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of <br /> hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site <br /> up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest <br /> and submit a copy of the manifest(s)to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> A 30 gallon drum of used antifreeze and a 55 gallon drum of used oil were observed with faded hazardous waste <br /> labels, with only the words 'hazardous waste' and the accumulation start date legible. A55 gallon drum of used oil <br /> was observed with only an accumulation start date labeled.
