Site Safety Plan <br /> Job No. 4780200 <br /> Page 7 <br /> 1 The Decontamination Zone will constitute the area immediately surrounding the <br /> Exclusion Zone. This is a clean zone with a reduced probability of exposure <br /> through inhalation and no probability of dermal contact with known <br /> contaminants. All decontamination activities will take place in this area. <br /> ' The Support Zone will be the area outside of the Exclusion and <br /> Decontamination Zones. To enter the Support Zone from the Exclusion Zone, <br /> the Decontamination Zone must be passed through and appropriate <br /> tdecontamination activities must be conducted. Equipment storage and worker <br /> lunch areas are located within the support zone. Smoking and chewing <br /> tobacco will be allowed only in this area. Personnel not authorized or trained to <br /> be in the Exclusion Zone must remain in this area while on site. <br /> ' F. Personal Decontamination - Level D <br /> t PPE for Level D will be removed in the following manner, inside the <br /> Decontamination Zone: <br /> remove Tyvek suit by rolling down suit from the inside <br /> remove disposable gloves <br /> remove respirator (if needed) and properly dispose of cartridges; wash <br /> respirator <br /> clean boots thoroughly in decontamination water provided <br /> ' G. Sampling Procedures <br /> ' The work area must be approved for subsurface penetration prior to subsurface <br /> activities. During sampling procedures, at least two workers should be present <br /> in case of a medical emergency (also see Section X., D., 2.) <br /> H. Illumination <br /> ' All field work is expected to be conducted during daylight hours. If work is <br /> conducted during non-daylight hours, lights will be used to fully illuminate the <br /> work area. <br /> I.
