Immediately close <br /> these containers, or place the wastes in properly closed containers, and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> -Two empty drums which previously held liquid ozone were observed without empty labeling. According to Mr. <br /> Capehart, they have been on site since December. <br /> -Four 55 gallon blue poly drums which previously held liquid ozone were observed with no empty labeling at the filter <br /> plant. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were <br /> emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this <br /> section. <br /> This is a Class ll violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br /> on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> -Liquid was observed accumulated in the secondary containment of the aluminum sulfate tank in the water treatment <br /> shed at the clarifier plant. <br /> -Liquid was observed accumulated in the secondary containment of the sodium hypochlorite tank in the water <br /> treatment shed at the clarifier plant. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous wastes have been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest.
