Unified <br /> Emergency Evacuation Pian <br /> OVERVIEW <br /> Emergency Notification for Spills and Releases <br /> In the event of a release or threatened release of hazardous materials various environmental <br /> agencies must be notified. This document will assist you in determining which agencies to notify <br /> based upon the scenario. <br /> Reportable Quantities ("RQ") are defined as a quantity of listed hazardous materials or waste <br /> that when spill or released requires notification. The RQs for commonly used listed hazardous <br /> materials or waste are follows: <br /> Diesel fuel (to include motor oil, hydraulic fluid) RQ = 42 gallons <br /> Anhydrous Ammonia RQ = 100 pounds <br /> Sulfuric Acid (to include battery electrolyte) RQ = 1,000 pounds <br /> Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach) RQ - 100 pounds <br /> Anv Spill or Release of Hazardous Materials (excluding ammonia) <br /> Less than the Reportable Quantity <br /> In the event of any spill or release of hazardous materials, excluding ammonia, that has not <br /> caused injury, evacuation, nor entered the storm drains, sewer system or soil, the following <br /> agencies must be immediately notified: <br /> San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services <br /> Business Number (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm) (209) 468-3962 <br /> After Hours Number (209) 468-4400 <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Divisions (209) 468-3420 <br /> 3E Company (800) 451-8346 <br /> Police - Fire- Paramedics (in the event of any injury only) 911 <br /> Any Spill or Release of Hazardous Materials (excluding ammonia) <br /> Greater than the Reportable Quantity <br /> In the event of any spill or release of the hazardous materials, excluding ammonia, that has <br /> caused injury, evacuation, or entered the storm drains, sewer system, or soil, the following <br /> agencies must be immediately notified: <br /> San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services <br /> Business Number (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm) (209) 468-3962 <br /> After Hours Number (209)468-4400 <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Divisions (209) 468-3420 <br /> 3E Company (800) 451-8346 <br /> Police- Fire - Paramedics 911 <br /> State Office of Emergency Services (800) 852-7550 <br /> Central Valley Water Quality Control Board (release to storm drain) (916) 255-3000 <br /> San Joaquin Valley Air District (release to atmosphere) (800) 281-7003 <br /> Waterloo 99 County Service Area 15 Wastewater Treatment Facility (209) 468-3090 <br /> (release to sewer system) <br /> REVISED December 31,2007 PAGE 13 <br />
