Mr. Eric Jenks
• - 3 - • 7 September 2000
enclosed for your review and comment. The draft MRP includes at least four, consecutive
quarterly analyses for all constituents that were identified at concentrations exceeding water
quality goals in the first groundwater monitoring event or in the grab groundwater investigations.
The analytical suites of chlorinated herbicides, organophosphorous pesticides, carbamate/urea
compounds and petroleum hydrocarbons may be eliminated in upgradient wells MW -2 and
MW -3 if the groundwater direction remains fairly uniform throughout the year, and if analytes in
these suites are not detected for four consecutive monitoring events. Additional adjustments may
be considered following four quarters of groundwater moriitoring.
GeoSyntec may combine the proposed groundwater sampling work with the proposed draft MRP
schedule to avoid duplicating analyses and reporting efforts. Please review the draft MRP and
transmit your comments to me by 13 October 2000.
Ifyo have ques i s, you may contact me at (916) 255-3080.
AMY T, RRELL
Site Cleanup Unit
enclosure
cc: Ms. Carolyn Kneiblher, GeoSyntec Consultants, Walnut Creek
Ms. Lori Duncan, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept., Stockton
