The
samples will be analyzed by Air Toxics for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using EPA
Method TO-15. The TO-15 analytical suite will include 1,2,3-trichloropropane (1,2,3-TCP) and
1,2-dichloropropane (1,2-DCP), which are the site-related VOCs that have been detected in
groundwater upgradient or in the vicinity of the soil gas sampling locations.
Results Evaluation
The analytical results will be used to evaluate potential vapor intrusion risk of site-related VOCs
downgradient of the Site. If 1,2,3-TCP or 1,2-DCP are detected, the results will be evaluated
using appropriate screening levels. Results of the investigation and evaluation will be
documented in a report to the RWQCB.
SCHEDULE
Upon RWQCB approval of this Work Plan, Geosyntec will begin field preparation activities.
Sampling is anticipated to be conducted within three weeks of Work Plan approval and is
dependent upon driller availability and rain events. Results of the sampling will be submitted to
the RWQCB within 30 days of receipt of laboratory analytical results.
P:\PRJ2003REM\Wilbur-Ellis\WrO250(JTF)\STOCKTON\S LP Vapor Sampling\Work Plan\JTF Stockton Off-Site Soil Gas Sampling Work Plan.docx
engineers I scientists I innovators
