This drum had an accumulation start date of 10-14-13. It appears that this waste has been on site
longer than 180 days. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed
6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed
hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD.
This is a Class II violation.
605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste.
The black 55 gallon drum of used oil that is approximately half full did not have marked the hazardous property nor the
physical state. This drum had an accumulation start date of 10-14-13. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked
with the following information:
-the words "Hazardous Waste'
-name and address of generator
- hazardous properties
- physical state
-composition (contents)
-accumulation start date
Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since
this container has been on site longer than 180 days, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to
dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. During the inspection, the
employee marked the physical state as liquid and marked the hazardous property as toxic.
This is a repeat violation, Class It.
608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters.
The red 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters appears to have an accumulation start date of 4-22-11. It appears this
container of drained used oil filters has been on site longer than one year. Facilities that generate up to one ton of
used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil filters
may store the filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of
the bill of lading to the EHD.
This is a minor violation.
Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of
lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters
for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD.
This is a minor violation.
Overall Inspection Comments:
Received by Inspector: Phone: Date:
(initial): ARIS VELOSO, Senior REHS (209)468-3453 05/05/2015
Page 5 of 6
