Stockton St., Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Com <br /> ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br /> Class II violations: (7, 20, 23) <br /> 7. Metal fines generated from metal grinding and drilling are being recycled as scrap metal without first <br /> determining particle size or hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if <br /> the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste <br /> determination for the grinding and drilling waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is <br /> determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how <br /> this waste was managed by June 5, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 20. A tank of used antifreeze and a 250 gallon tank of used oil were observed with no accumulation start <br /> dates listed. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words "Hazardous Waste" and the <br /> accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the <br /> required information. Since it cannot be determined how long these wastes have been on site, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by June 5, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 23. A 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters was observed without a lid or a label. Another 55 gallon <br /> drum of drained used oil filters was observed without an accumulation start date. The most recent <br /> disposal receipt for drained used oil filters is dated 2009. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, <br /> rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. <br /> Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the used oil filters have been on site, immediately recycle the <br /> filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD by June 5, 2011. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> ALL END STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WIN FAILING TO COMPLY 9Y THE ABOVE NOIEO DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122). <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHU'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector.
