0 <br />0 <br />During the flood: <br />1. Notify appropriate local authorities of the flood at your facility and probable <br />evacuation. The numbers for the following agencies can be found in Section A, <br />under the heading, 'Reference Telephone Numbers." <br />A. Local OES <br />B. Local Health Department <br />C. Local municipal utilities district (within 24 hours) <br />D. In case of release of hazardous materials/waste into the flood waters, see <br />the Notification Procedures page in Section A of this Contingency Plan. <br />2. At the order of an emergency coordinator, all employees will begin evacuation <br />procedures to higher ground. <br />3. Evacuate early enough to avoid being marooned by flooded roads. <br />4. Do not attempt to cross a flowing stream on foot. Under no circumstances <br />should anyone try to swim or dive into the water. The currents can be deadly! <br />5. Do not attempt to drive over a flooded road - you can be stranded and trapped. If <br />your car stalls in a flooded area, abandon it! You and your car could be swept <br />away. <br />g. Stay away from natural streams or other flooded areas.
