After the flood: <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />13 <br />f� <br />C� <br />Do not visit the flooded facility, unless authorized to do so. <br />Do not consume food that has come into contact with flood waters; drinking water <br />may also be contaminated, check with authorities. <br />When access to the facility is authorized: <br />A. Do not handle electrical equipment until it is checked and dried by a <br />qualified individual. <br />B. Use flashlights, not gas lanterns or torches, to examine buildings. <br />C. Report broken utility lines to appropriate authorities. <br />Clean-up and recovery <br />A. Assess the release of hazardous materials/waste into flood water if any, <br />and begin clean-up procedures using proper personal protective <br />equipment. <br />B. Recommended equipment to have on hand for a flood situation is as <br />follows: <br />1. Pump Units <br />2. Forklifts <br />3.
