20. Circular Fluorescent Bulbs — Handle as a "universal waste" stream and recycle using Heritage. Collect all spent/used circular fluorescent bulbs and place in appropriate waste container or back in original box then palletize and shrink-wrap for pick-up (waste containers are available to order from Heritage). Broken Fluorescent Bulbs/HID Lamps—If during handling, fluorescent bulbs or HID lamps break, clean up the breakage and place in appropriate container (Poly or Steel drum) and label as Hazardous waste. Broken fluorescent bulbs and/or HID lamps cannot be handled as universal waste streams and must be managed as a hazardous waste. Non PCB Ballasts — Depending upon the amount generated, place in appropriate sized container and label accordingly (non-hazardous/non-PCB ballasts). Material will be managed as a non-hazardous waste stream and recycled.
