If your facility is large and you are going to use sub-site maps, then the Primary <br /> Site Map must show at least the information listed under "Topographical <br /> Information" that pertains to your facility. <br /> Sub-Site Maps <br /> Sub-Site Maps do not have to cover the entire facility property but must show all <br /> locations or buildings where hazardous materials are handled or stored. Each Sub-Site <br /> Map can show a single building or section of a large building. The Sub-Site Map must be <br /> clearly named with the portion of your facility being shown. This name must include the <br /> grid coordinates of the Primary Site Map which are covered by the Sub-Site Map, e.g. <br /> Primary Production Building (D-2). "D-2" refers to the portion of the Primary Site Map <br /> where the Primary Production Building is located. The Sub-Site Maps must show all <br /> required information that is not shown on the Primary Site Map. <br /> Map Numbers <br /> If you are submitting one or more Sub-Site Maps with the Primary Site Map, then you <br /> need to number each map in the top left hand corner as indicated. The Primary Site <br /> Map is always Map #1. The first sub-site map is then numbered "Map #2" and so on. <br /> These map numbers will simplify showing multiple locations for one hazardous material <br /> on that materials Chemical Description Page. This assigned number is in addition to the <br /> map name discussed above. <br /> Required Map Information and Codes <br /> The facility map(s) must show the following information. Codes for container type <br /> should be used in order to keep the map as clean as possible. If your facility is too <br /> complex or large to allow display of the following information without excessive clutter <br /> or difficulty in reading it, contact our office to work out a reasonable solution. <br /> Location of Containers holding Hazardous Materials <br /> You need to show where containers are located that contain hazardous materials and <br /> the type of container. You can use the codes below. If you use your own codes you <br /> must provide a legend on the map. No color codes please.
