Stormwater Monitoring Data—Analytical-and Visual Inspections, if Required by Permit
i
A summary of any existing (historic) stormwater discharge sample data (analytical and
visual inspections), if applicable, is presented in Appendix 1. Also, if required, stormwater
sample results (analytical and visual inspections) collected during the current permit are f
presented in Appendix I. An example stormwater visual inspection form is provided in
f Appendix I for use if required by the permit.
5.6. Risk Identification and Summary of Potential Pollution Sources
An assessment of the risk potential that sources pose to stormwater quality is presented in
Appendix E. The assessment points to activities, materials, and physical features of the facility
that have a reasonable potential to contribute significant pollutants to stormwater. The potential j
spillage areas, activities, materials and features are addressed by measures and controls
subsequently described in the plan. The following areas have been considered as part of this
I plan.
1. Loading and unloading operations
I
2. Outdoor storage areas
3. Outdoor manufacturing or processing activities
4. Significant dust or particulate generating activities
5. On-site waste disposal practice
6. BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES a
Best management practices (BMPs) are procedures that are in place to reduce the
possibility of materials corning in contact with stormwater or releases to the waters of the state.
As part of the PPERM, baseline and additional BMPs were evaluated as to the appropriateness
and priority of control for the facility. 1
The plant will need to group the plant into areas, and list each potential spill material in k
each area. After this is done, the plant will need to fill out the chart found in Appendix E. A
form is presented in Appendix E for developing the material inventory, identifying possible
spillage areas, listing the maximum amount stored on-site, determining if the material comes in
contact with stormwater, summarizing the BMPs in place, and listing the applicable reportable
quantities.
Page 6 of 15 Amended 09/07/06
I'
„ i
