The Leak Alert System For the operator of fuel, oil and chemical storage facilities, the LeakAlert rally of state-of-the-art electronic sys- - ems and components offers a reliable and economical means of detecting leak- age of hazardous liquids and gases. On activation by remote sensors, the Leak Alert system provides both audible and visual alarms, as well as an auxiliary output capable of driving a remote alarm, phone dialer, or pump shutdown. Sen- sors available include a thermal element capable of detecting the presence of any liquid and a metal -oxide -semiconductor (MOS) sensor that recognizes the pre- sence of most combustible and organic gases. Depending on application capacity requirement the Leak Alert con- figurations offer a choice ofone, two, four, eight or sixteen channels. Moreover, with several Leak Alert models, each channel can be used to simultaneously monitor both liquid and gas leakages. The expanding Leak Alert family also includes two new compact probe systems packaged in explosion -proof enclosures for underground or other - e hazardous locations, and two low. bust alarm panels suitable for remote alarm indications.
