SAFETY RULES <br /> These safety rules are not expected to be complete, and therefore disciplinary action can <br /> be expected and will be taken for conduct that creates a safety hazard. <br /> 1. Employees shall not operate any equipment until they have been properly instructed. <br /> 2. Employees shall not create or contribute to unsafe/unsanitary conditions which shall <br /> include; oil spills, chemical spills, spitting on the floor, and consuming food or drink <br /> in or around work areas. All unsafe conditions are to be reported to the supervisor at <br /> once. <br /> 3. All injuries,however slight, must be reported to the supervisor at once. <br /> 4. Employees shall wear approved protective wear and safety gear for conducting work <br /> procedures at all times as specified by management. <br /> 5. Employees shall not remove employee notices, safety notices, or signs posted by the <br /> company. <br /> 6. Employees shall not write (in any form) on bulletin boards or company property <br /> without specific authority of management. <br /> 7. Employees shall not report to work under the influence of alcohol, or when suffering <br /> from affects of drug or alcoholic hangover,or in any unsafe condition. <br /> 8. Employees shall not be in possession of, or engage in the consumption of, alcoholic <br /> beverages or drugs on company property at any time. <br /> 9. Employees shall not ride on fenders,running boards, side rails, or top of any vehicles. <br /> Employees shall ride in the space provided for passengers inside the vehicle and shall <br /> not ride with the legs hanging out of the rear or side of any company vehicle. <br /> 10. Employees shall not get on or off vehicles in motion. <br /> 11. Employees trained in confined spaces are permitted to do such jobs, but must follow <br /> the appropriate methods of practice. <br /> 12. Appropriate footwear should be worn at all times. Shop and driving personnel are <br /> required to wear steel toe boots. <br /> 13. Products used in or around the shop should be used solely for the purposes they are <br /> intended. <br /> 14. Speed limits shall be followed in all areas. <br /> 15. All tools and equipment shall be maintained in good, safe, working conditions. If a <br /> tool or piece of equipment is damaged it should not be used and to be removed or <br /> tagged"out of operation". The tags on tools or equipment are not to be removed until <br /> they are back in safe working conditions. <br /> 16. Cranes and hoists shall be operated only by qualified and authorized employees. <br /> 17. Work areas shall be kept in an orderly fashion. <br />
