SAFETY POLICY <br /> Nor-Cal Construction is interested in the safety and welfare of all of its employees. <br /> Employees should be aware of the very important role that safety(accident prevention) <br /> plays every day in the operations within our organization. <br /> Through the implementation of our safety programs, all of us will be striving to prevent <br /> or reduce painful injuries to any employee no matter what the job in the organization. <br /> Personal safety is a first consideration. <br /> Our goal is ZERO accidents and injuries. Accordingly,we also include the following <br /> specific items for everyone's attention: <br /> 1. Wherever proper,Nor-Cal Construction will furnish mechanical or personal <br /> safeguards. <br /> 2. We will conduct safety training sessions appropriate to each area of responsibility. <br /> 3. We will, with each area of supervisory assistance,conduct periodic safety and <br /> health inspections to find and eliminate any unsafe working condition or practice, <br /> to control hazards and to comply with all CAL/OSHA standards applicable for <br /> every job and job location. <br /> 4. We will establish through the authority of the safety committee any applicable <br /> employee rules requiring employee cooperation as a condition of employment. <br /> 5. We will investigate promptly and thoroughly every accident(or near miss)to <br /> discover the cause and the correction of the problems so that it does not happen <br /> again. <br /> 6. The safety committee will make itself readily available to any employee or group <br /> of employees for elimination of a recognized hazard. <br /> SUNIlv1ARY: <br /> 1. Nor-Cal Construction is responsible and accepts responsibility of leadership of the <br /> safety and health program and sets forth its desire to implement and continually <br /> improve the safety program to ensure complete safe conditions. <br /> 2. Designated committee members and supervisory persons will be responsible for <br /> developing proper attitudes toward personal safety and health in fellow employees <br /> so that all operations are conducted with a daily regard for safety. <br /> 3. Each employee will be responsible to himself/herself for cooperation with other <br /> employees to maintain compliance with applicable CAL/OSHA standards while <br /> performing his/her duties. <br /> is <br />
