SAFETY REGULATIONS <br /> I. Chemical Storage—Department of Agriculture requires: <br /> 1. Toxic substances should not be stored in regularly inhabited buildings. <br /> 2. Storage areas must be clearly marked with warning signs. <br /> 3. Access to storage area is restricted to all employees except for authorized <br /> persons. <br /> II. Handling of Toxic Chemicals: <br /> 1. Spray equipment should be maintained in good working condition. <br /> 2. Any problems with chemical spray equipment must be reported <br /> immediately to the shop. <br /> M. Safety Gear: <br /> 1. Safety gear that is applicable to the work being done can be ordered or <br /> may be available at the office. <br /> N. Motor Vehicles: <br /> 1. Only trained and qualified employees will be allowed to drive and operate <br /> company equipment. <br /> 2. A valid driver's license is required to drive on public roads. <br /> 3. Only employees who have been trained to operate forklifts and tractors are <br /> allowed to drive them. <br /> 4. No riders are allowed on tractors or forklifts. <br /> 5. Employees who drive company vehicles are required to report any unsafe <br /> conditions on equipment assigned to them by their supervisor. <br /> V. In-House Safety: <br /> 1. All working areas where employees are assigned must be clear of <br /> obstructions which may cause accidents. <br /> 2. Employees are responsible for reporting any hazardous areas to their <br /> immediate supervisors. <br /> VI. Safety Training Sessions: <br /> 1. Each department supervisor will be responsible for setting up safety <br /> sessions on a regular basis with their employees. <br /> 9 <br />
