San Joaquin Street
PO Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Attention: Harlin Knoll
Re: 835 N. Central Avenue in Tracy, CA
Jamey Thorpe a representative of Jim Thorpe, Inc., removed one (1) fuel tank at the
above address. While the soil sample was being retrieved after the tank was removed
(under direction of county representative Casey Foley) it began to rain heavily.
The excavated area was next to a drain which overflowed into the excavation, filling the
hole with water. The soil sample from under the tank was clean. A water sample also was
retrieved and was over the allowable limits.
Attached you will find soil and water sample results. At this time we are requesting that we
are allowed to close the site. We believe the water was from the street run off and had
nothing to do with the excavation or ground water.
If this is not possible then we are requesting a re-sample at ground water depth
approximately 13' to 15'. Original depth of soil sample was approximately 7' which the soil
tested clean.
Sin ely,
arty Th e
G
Pre siden /
