During the performance of <br /> any portion of the work under this contract, due caution shall be <br /> exercised to prevent injury to Goverrmw-nt personnel or damage to <br /> property from falling debris, materials, or tools to the <br /> satisfaction of the Contracting Officer. The work shall proceed <br /> in such a manner ns to minimize the spread of dust and flying <br /> particles and to provide safe working conditions for all personnel . <br /> e. Housekeeping and Cleanup: The Contractor shall at all times <br /> maintain the work premises in a neat and orderly condition to the <br /> satisfaction of the Contracting Officer. <br /> f. Materiand l aE ui nr. Submittals: As soon as practicable and in <br /> no case later than 30 days after the required date of commencement <br /> of work and before any material or equipment is installed, the <br /> Contractor shall submit descriptive information covering <br /> materials, fixtures, ami equipment to be incorporated in the <br /> work. Submittals shall consist of three (3) sets of applicable <br /> brochures, technical data catalog cuts, layout drawings, diagrams, <br /> and such other descriptive data that will give a complete <br /> description, including trade name, model number, type, size, <br /> rating, and auxiliary equipment. All submittals must be approved <br /> by the Contracting Officer prior to installation. <br /> g. Work�in Hours: Except otherwise specified elsewhere, work shall. <br /> beper o e7zom 0730 to 1600 hours, Monday through Friday, <br /> excepting holidays. Should i.t be necessary to perform work <br /> beyond the above limitations, the Contractor shall advise the <br /> Contracting Officer in writing, at least four days in advance, for <br /> of his (Contractor) intentions. Working beyond the time and <br /> day limitations shall be performed at no additional cost <br /> to the Government. <br /> h. Reporting: The Contractor shall report his presence at the work <br /> site every day by calling Extension 9531 , Engineering Office, <br /> within one hour of arriving at the site. <br /> i. Site Visit: The Offeror is expected to visit the site and become <br /> completely acquainted as to the nature and general conditions of <br /> the project and facilities. <br /> j . Safety Re ulations: The Contractor, in his performance, shall <br /> comply with applicable provisions of OSHA Safety and Health <br /> Standards, 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1910 General <br /> Industry, and 29 CER 1926 Constriction Safety and Health <br /> Regulations. Contractor shall also comply with safety provisions <br /> not covered by the. foregoing which are contained in U.S. Army, <br /> Corps of Engineers (CE) Manual EM 335-1. Copies of the referenced <br /> standards and regulations are on file at Defense Depot Tracy, <br /> Office of Safety or Facilities Engineering, for review. <br /> 1-02 <br />
