APPLICABLE P[BLICAT.ION: The California Administrative Code, Title <br /> 23, Waters, Chapter 3, Water Resources Control Board, Subchapter 16, <br /> Underground Tank Regulations, shall form a part of this specification. <br /> The preceding publication may be obtained by the Contractor from the <br /> San Joaquin County Local Health District. <br /> 3-02. RFFFRFIXE3) PARACRAPHS: The following paragraphs of the preceding <br /> applicable publication shall be used by the Contractor as a ready <br /> reference only. Contractor reponsibilities are not limited by the <br /> following references: <br /> 3-02.1 Removal of tanks, including all residuals - Article 7 , <br /> Section 2672 a, b. <br /> 3-02.2 Compliance with the directives by the County inspector, for <br /> the detection of evidence of soil contamination and for the <br /> sampling and testing of contaminated soil - Article 7 , <br /> Section 2672. <br /> 3-03. TAW'S PIT PROTECTION FROM RAIN: In addition to Section 2, Paragraph <br /> tractor, as erected by the Contracting Officer, shall <br /> provide tarpaulin cover for all open tank's pit. The Contractor is <br /> responsible in determining the weather forecast prior to excavation <br /> work. <br /> 3-04. SOIL SAMPLING AND TFSTTNG: The Contractor shall employ the aid of <br /> Testing Laboratories in taining soil samples and test for soil <br /> chemical contents. Testing of soil samples shall he performed by State <br /> of California certified soil Testing Laboratories. Listing of <br /> certified Testing Laboratories may be obtained by the Contractor from <br /> the San Joaquin Local County Health District. All tests results must <br /> be forwarded to the Contracting Officer immediately upon completion of <br /> test. Table -1 depicts the number of soil samples to be obtained for <br /> testing and the soil chemical contents to be determined. All soil <br /> testing, including the number of samples required per location must <br /> meet the requirements of Article 7, Section 2672, paragraph d.l . , and <br /> shall be determined by the Contractor. Figure 1 depicts where soil <br /> samples are to be obtained. <br /> 3-01 <br />
