MONITORING ALTERNATIVE 7
Implementation of this monitoring alternative will require
Weekly Tank Gauging and Annual Tank Integrity testing. If
this monitoring alternative is chosen implementation should
be carried out as follows:
1) Perform the initial tank integrity test/tests to confirm
that the tank/tanks do/does not leak at the time of
implementation of the monitoring alternative. Integrity
testing must be done within one year prior to
implementation of the monitoring alternative. Based on
information obtained from facility personnel all/the
tanks/tank at this facility have passed an integrity test
within the last year.
2) Weekly tank gauging will require that the tank be secured
for a period no less than 36 hours. During this time no
inputs or withdrawals will be allowed from the tank. The
fuel level at the beginning and end of this period will be
measured manually using a calibrated stick (or using
automatic liquid level sensing equipment) with an accuracy
of ±9 gallons. Weekly gauging shall be as specified in
Section 2641, Alternative 7 in the Underground Storage Tank
Regulations.
3) Tank integrity testing to determine that total product loss
from the tank does not exceed 0. 05 gallons per hour, shall
be performed yearly. Integrity testing shall be carried
out as described in Section 2543 of the Underground Storage
Tank Regulations.
