Emergency Response Plan Underground Storage Tank Monitoring Program <br /> 'nus monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. The information on this monitoring program are <br /> conditions of the operating permit. The permit holder must notify San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division, <br /> phone(209)468-3420 within 30 daysof any changes to the monitoring procdures,unless required to obtain approval before <br /> making the change. Required by Sections 2632d and 2641H CCR. <br /> Facility Name: Safeway Inc. Fuel Station <br /> Facility Address: 2808 Country Club Dr. Stockton, CA <br /> 1.) If an unauthorized release occurs, how will the hazardous substance be cleaned up? <br /> Note: If released hazardous substances reach the environment, increase the fire or explosion hazard, <br /> are not cleaned up from the secondary containment within 8 hours, or deteriorate the secondary <br /> containment, then San Jonquin County Health Division roust be notified within 24 hours. <br /> Small spills and drips will be cleaned up by onsite personnel wearing proper personal protective <br /> equipment. Granular corn cob, pads, pillows and socks will be used to clean up small spills and placed <br /> in a properly labelled temporary storage container. Large spills will be cleaned up by an outside <br /> environmental contractor. <br /> 2.) Describe the proposed methods and equipment to be used for removing and properly disposing of <br /> any hazardous substances <br /> Used adsorbant material (granular corn cob, pads, socks)will be stored and subsequently transported in <br /> temporary storage containers. The storage containers will be removed and transported to an <br /> appropriate licensed disposal facility by a licensed hazardous waste hauler. The waste will be properly <br /> manifested in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations <br /> 3.) Describe the location and availability of the required cleanup equipment in item 2 above: <br /> The dry adsorbant is stored in 30 gallon steel drums, in the designated storage area. The spill kit(socks <br /> and pads) will be in a portable bag located in the kiosk. <br /> 4.) Describe the maintenance schedule for the cleanup equipment. <br /> The dry absorbant will be serviced as needed. Old product removed and new product delivered to <br /> replace. (Not longer than 90 days) Spill kit items can be ordered on an as needed basis. <br /> 5.) List the names and titles of the person responsible for authorizing any work necessary under the <br /> response plan: <br /> Store Manager -Joe Schiavone <br /> Tanknology <br />
