OBJECTIVES <br /> This plan is designed to minimize hazards to employees,customers,the environment,and the general <br /> public from fires, explosions, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden unauthorized release of <br /> petroleum products from this retail gasoline facility. Provisions include procedures for handling <br /> petroleum products-related emergencies, emergency contact telephone numbers, and inventory the <br /> kinds and amounts of petroleum products handled by this station, together with a synopsis of the <br /> employee training program. Additionally, the plan is designed to set procedures for reporting all <br /> releases or threatened releases of petroleum products. <br /> An "Unauthorized Release" is defined as spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, emptying, <br /> discharging, injecting, escaping, leaching, dumping, or disposing into the environment, unless <br /> permitted or authorized by a regulatory agency. A"Threatened Release"means a condition creating <br /> a substantial probability of harm, when the probability and potential extent of harm make it <br /> reasonably necessary to take immediate action to prevent, reduce, or mitigate damages to persons, <br /> property, or the environment. <br /> The station shall be equipped with a Hazard Communication Program Compliance Kit stored in a <br /> conspicuous location. This highly visible(bright yellow)box will hold this plan along with worker <br /> hazard communication,inventory,employee training,and container labeling requirements,material <br /> safety data sheets, and community right-to-know information. <br /> Emergency Response Training Plan location: Fueling Facilities Manager's Office. <br /> IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BOX NOTED ABOVE, CALL 1-915-467-3000 <br /> D. EMERGENCY COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITY <br /> ON-SCENE EMERGENCY COORDINATOR: <br /> Name: Fueling Facility Manager <br /> Designated Alternate(s): <br /> Note: Strike out names when personnel changes occur! <br /> The primary responsibility for handling petroleum products-related emergencies will be with the <br /> facility's designated On-Scene Emergency Coordinator. Normally,this will be the Station Manager <br /> or the person in charge of the facility at the time.
