SCOPE OF WORK <br />UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVALS <br />RAINBO BAKING COMPANY <br />STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br />I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br />Rainbo Baking Company is located at 2651 S. Airport Way, <br />Stockton, California <br />The location of the two underground storage tanks subject to <br />removal is shown in the attached sketch. <br />Both underground storage tanks are steel, have a 6000 gallon <br />capacity and are 30 years old. One tank has been pumped empty, <br />but not cleaned. The other tank is full of sand. Both tanks <br />formerly contained unleaded gasoline. <br />II. INTRODUCTION <br />The work requires the furnishing of all labor, equipment, <br />transportation, supervision and materials necessary for the <br />ultimate disposal of the tank contents, and tanks as described <br />herein. <br />III. FLAMMABLE LIQUID HANDLING EXPERIENCE <br />Contractor will be required to handle, decontaminate, and dis- <br />pose of gasoline, material contaminated with gasoline, and <br />the tanks. Contractor shall have the equipment, expertise, <br />and necessary government approvals to safely complete this <br />project. <br />IV. ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERIENCE <br />Contractor is responsible for following all environmental and <br />hazardous waste laws in the performance of this work. Contractor <br />is also responsible for obtaining all the necessary permits <br />and licenses. The contractor must, therefore, have a knowledge <br />of applicable regulations. Agencies whose regulations and guide- <br />lines must be adhered to include, but are not limited to, the <br />following: <br />o Appropriate state environmental regulatory agency(s) <br />o Federal EPA (RCRA Hazardous Waste Laws) <br />o Department of Transportation (manifesting, etc.) <br />o Local agencies, i.e., sewer discharge ordinances, fire <br />ordinances, environmental health ordinances,.... <br />
