SCOPE OF WORK: UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVALS <br />TABLE OF CONTENTS <br />Section No. Section Page <br />1.0 Introduction 1 <br />2.0 Removal of Tank Contents 2 <br />3.0 Tank Removals 2 <br />4.0 Inclement Weather 3 <br />5.0 Contaminated Soil 3 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />The work requires the furnishing of all labor, equipment, transportation, <br />supervision and materials necessary for the ultimate disposal of the <br />tank contents, and tanks as described herein. <br />1.1 FLAMMABLE LIQUID HANDLING EXPERIENCE <br />Contractor will be required to handle, decontaminate, and dispose of <br />gasoline, material contaminated with gasoline, and the tanks. Contractor <br />shall have the equipment, expertise, and necessary government approvals <br />to safely complete this project. <br />1.2 ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERIENCE <br />Contractor is responsible for following all environmental and hazardous <br />waste laws in the performance of this work. Contractor is also respon- <br />sible for obtaining all the necessary permits and licenses. The con- <br />tractor must, therefore, have a knowledge of applicable regulations. <br />Agencies whose regulations and guidelines must be adhered to include, <br />but are not limited to the following: <br />a. Appropriate state environmental regulatory agency(s) <br />b. Federal EPA (RCRA Hazardous Waste Laws) <br />c. Department of Transportation (manifesting, etc.) <br />d. Local agencies, i.e., sewer discharge ordinances, fire ordinances, <br />environmental health ordinances,... <br />1.3 DISPOSAL METHOD AND FACILITIES <br />Contractor shall use disposal methods and facilities that meet all <br />federal, state and local requirements. In addition, disposal facilities <br />and methods must be approved by the Project Manager before use. Items <br />to be disposed of include the following: residual gasoline, tank sludge <br />and tanks. <br />
