Site Safety Plan for Excavation Activities April 8, 1996 <br /> Military Department OMS#24-Stockton <br /> Site Location: Site is located at the Military Department OMS # 24, Stockton, CA <br /> Project: Underground Tank Removal, Disposal and Site Backfill <br /> Plan Prepared By: Seward Schreder, Project Manager, Seward L. Schreder <br /> Construction <br /> This site safety plan(SSP)has been prepared specifically for the above sites. All personnel <br /> participating in field work at these site must be trained in the general and specific hazards <br /> unique to these sites, and if applicable, meet recommend medical examination <br /> requirements. <br /> All personnel involved in field work at these sites will be issued a copy of this SSP prior to <br /> entering the site. They will be required to read it, and will be allowed to ask questions <br /> about site safety before and during work at the site. <br /> Daily safety meeting will be held by the site safety officer to review safety practices and to <br /> discuss safety issues that may have arisen during the previous day's work. <br /> A copy of the SSP will be kept on site at all times, in the site supervisor's vehicle. <br /> All field work at the site will be performed in accordance with applicable policies and <br /> regulations, including those of Seward L. Schreder Construction, local, state, and federal <br /> agencies. The following federal regulations will be strictly observed. <br /> 29 CFR 19 10.1000 Air Contaminants <br /> 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous waste operations and emergency response <br /> 29 CFR 1910.134 Respirator protection <br /> 40 CFR 311 Workers protection standard for hazardous waste operations and <br /> emergency response <br /> 49 CFR 172.101 Hazardous material tables, hazardous materials communications <br /> requirements and emergency response information requirements. <br /> 29 CFR 1910.146 Confined space entry <br />
