If weather is going to be <br /> abnormal,take necessary breaks. <br /> 6. Reiterate the fact,that safety comes first. <br /> 7. Have open discussion with employees to answer any questions or problems. <br /> AIR AND PERSONAL MONITORING DEVLSES <br /> We will tic using the Gait/ LEI. 02 Mcier to monitor the concentrations of hydrocarbons & <br /> cxplusive mixture in the airand in the dirt. The Gas Surveyor is calibrated weekly. <br /> PERSONNEL PROTECTIVE EOUIPMEN7. <br /> Employees will work at Level D until air monitoring indicates a need for a change. Level D <br /> protection will consists othard hats,steel toed boots,ear and eye protection and normal work clothes <br /> (Blue jeatts and company shifts). When air monitoring indicates TPH levels above 50 PPM or <br /> Aenzenc levels above 1-PPM respirators will be donned along with Tyvek suWq and gloves. Filter <br /> cartridge will be changed when break through is achieved.At Level C air monitoring will be changed <br /> from every 15 minutes to every 5 minutes.When employees reach untnediate break through on fitter <br /> cartridge then the site will he evacuated. <br /> SECIMMGTHE SITE <br /> Securing the site will consist of barricading the excavation with lighted barricades and barricade <br /> tape. All stockpiled soil will he covered with visqueen. The visqu`en will be secu" with tires and <br /> rope to hold it in place. <br />
