Scales: `1
The scale is printed on flexible tag stock and may be adjusted or ret oved to
correct for change of liquid or tank pitch. A red transparent strip is ( ovided
o that can be moved to desired position for warning to reorder produc . Scales
are calibrated for the specific gravity (2.954) of the Red-X indicating quid a.d 4+
the specific gravity of the tank liquid. 1
The Standard Scale:
O Is calibrated on the left side in inch and half inch increments of tank depth.
Blank lines are provided, on the right side, corresponding to each in :h that will
permit the addition of gallon figures with an ordinary typewriter.. ',^
Optional Gallon Scale: /
If desired, Petrometer will provide a scale as above complete with Tallon
figures at a nominal charge.
Installation:
The system can be installed on tanks whether full or empty, above c: below
ground and at any elevation. If gauge is installed outdoors a weatherproof
cabinet should be used to protect it from the elements. A 2" NPT tar:,, opening
is required for Model 1372 Tank Assembly Unit. A 1112" IPS schedule f0 re-
inforcer pipe, supplied by installer, must be used (as shown in illust cion) to
hold the air bell rigidly in place at the tank bottom. Standard gauges will not
operate below 32°F (0°C). Red-X liquid freezes but will do no darr age. Non-
freezing liquid is available. Suffix type number with " A" for non-fr:ezing
liquid.
To Order:
1. Determine the vertical depth of the tank.
2. Select the proper gauge Type (size) from the Selection Chart b :lraw. As
shown there are six Types (sizes) for the Model 1329 Tank Gac e. If
depth is greater than maximum listed use Series 1700 gauge.
3. Specify the name of liquid listed in Selection Chart. If not listed, also
specify one of the following: Specific Gravity, Baume, degrees P..P.I.,
or pounds per gallon of the tank liquid.
4. Specify standard scale or gallon scale. For gallon scale, complete tank
dimensions and nominal capacity or a capacity chart must be supplied. itt,-
5. Specify Model 1372 Tank Assembly Unit or other. Model 1372 i;'supplied
in lengths of 25, 50, 75, 100 feet and over in multiples of 10 feet. For
correct length figure distance from tank bottom to the gauge location.
VERTICAL DEPTH OF TANK Example:
DEG. SPEC,.. USE USE USE USE USE
LIQUID A.P.I. GRAY.
