Monitoring system
• We plan to relocate the Veeder Root TLS 350 from its current location to the east side of the new
building in the new office area
• As an interim measure, we plan to maintain tank monitoring during our underground conduit
relocation by connecting the existing annular monitoring sensors to temporary above ground cables in
pvc conduit
• We will schedule an inspection with you to verify the proper monitoring system operation after this
interim wiring method
• We will then relocate (from their current location at the building front door) the conduits to the
just outside the new office area and install new monitoring cables Please see item 2 on map 2 -
attached
• If needed, we will remove concrete at the annular/tank gauge manhole areas over the tanks to allow
for conduit connections
• Then we will relocate the Veeder Root TLS 350 console, connect the new cables, and connect
temporary power
• We will then have a scheduled inspection by you to confirm proper monitoring system operation
• After the ISD components have been installed we will cold start the TLS and schedule an inspection
with you immediately (same day) to again verify proper monitoring system operation
Miscellaneous
• Finish the connection of the gasoline vent risers to the existing Healy CAS tank
• After dispenser start up we will purge the product lines of air at the impact valves
• Calibrate the dispensers
• Provide for third party post upgrade complete system vapor recovery testing as prescribed by the San
Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District
• Provide for tank annular space testing (if needed) (see bullet#5 in Monitoring system above)
• We will remove about 10 feet of concrete at the new store building entrance to relocate the fueling
system conduits
There is the possibility that we might need to remove concrete at several areas over the tanks to re-work the
monitoring system conduits to allow for new conductors to be installed. These areas are at the middle of the
tanks and at the annular riser ends of the tanks and at least 10 feet from the piping sumps and piping runs. If
this is done will have the annulars tested by Afforda Test.
The necessary contractor certifications and maps are attached.
Thank you,
Mark Vendeiro
MVP Petroleum Engineering, Inc.
