5. EXPOSURE MONITORING PLAN <br /> Workers and the community will not be exposed to any hazards of airborne vapors, gases and radiation. <br /> There will be exposure to dust and noise. Excessive dust will be monitored visually and will be controlled <br /> by light wetting of the excavation site with water hoses. Noise will be limited by conforming to the <br /> normal work hours permitted by San Juaquin County ordinance. Tank filing personnel shall wear hearing <br /> protection if noise becomes excessive. <br /> Heat stress should effect personnel only and not the community. Hard physical work is not anticipated. <br /> Ambient temperatures should probably be no higher than the mid 70's(degrees Fahrenheit) during the <br /> anticipated time of removal. <br /> 6. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT&ENGINEERING CONTROLS <br /> Personnel should have hard hats available and use them when appropriate. Respirators are not needed <br /> since there will be no work done in confined spaces. <br /> Chemical resistant clothing is not indicated and will not be on site. <br /> 7. SITE CONTROL <br /> A site plan showing the tank site relative to other culture is shown on the following sheet. <br /> Work shall be limited to the northerly(gravel surface)of the parcel. Traffic cones and caution tape will <br /> be used to separate said northern from the commercial building on the southern half, if said southern half <br /> is populated at the time of tank removal. The entire site is securely fenced with a 6 foot high metal chain <br /> link fence. There shall be a portable telephone on site. Phone numbers for the nearest emergency <br /> hospital,fire and sheriff shall be posted. Sanitation facilities exist within the building on the southern <br /> half of the site. <br />
