Site Safety Plan <br /> Page 2 <br /> 09/09/99 <br /> NOTE: Tank hole will be filled completely as soon as soil samples are analyzed and depending on <br /> analytical report of contamination what and when will backfill. <br /> Stockton Service Station Equipment Co. Inc.will provide safety hats,goggles and clothing to employees at <br /> the job site as per O.S.II.A.Regulation 29 CFR 1910.120. Caution will be noted that a heat stress situation <br /> may develop when impermeable protective clothing is worn Stockton Service Station Equipment Co.Inc. <br /> will hold shop meetings before start of tank removals to discuss safety procedures. The"Buddy System" <br /> will be discussed and the course of action to be taken should an injury occur to an employee. Some of the <br /> many niles to be discussed to help prevent injury or accident are: <br /> 1. Avoid standing on top of the tank surface,it may be slippery or rusty. <br /> 2. Check for falling objects, slipping and tripping hazards. <br /> 3. Visqueen sheeting will be used if necessary around excavating soil <br /> 4. If necessary,the site will be secured and warning signs posted to prevent the exposure of <br /> unauthorized unprotected people to site hazards. <br /> 5. Limit exposure to noisy equipment. <br /> 6. Keep a safe distance from the excavation and heavy equipment. <br /> 7. Stay upwind from the tank and/or excavation to avoid unnecessary exposure whenever possible. <br /> 8. Avoid the area or take special caution when ventilating the tanks with water,dry ice or air. <br /> 9. Stockton Service Station Equipment Co.
