`s %%.J <br /> Recommendations <br /> A preliminary investigation to determine the horizontal and vertical extent of <br /> contamination to soil and groundwater is required due to the concentrations of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals in the soil and water samples taken from <br /> adjacent to Tanks 1, 2, and 3. Preliminary soil and groundwater investigation work <br /> usually requires a minimum of 3 soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells to <br /> begin defining contamination in soil and ground hater. Two of the referenced wells <br /> must be located down gradient of the established direction groundwater flows. <br /> One copy of this report has been sent to each of the agencies noted below as <br /> required by the PHS-EHD. Wright will provide a preliminary budget under a separate <br /> cover letter to accomplish the above recommendations.
