HSC 25292.2 — Certificate of Financial responsibility. Enclosed is the
required document. Please let us know if you want one submitted annually to
Your office and we will do so.
2. HSC 25292 (f) — Automatic leak detectors. During the inspection you had
Shaw Maintenance (our third party maintenance contractor) perform a
Precision test on the mechanical leak detectors and they failed the test.
These were the original leak detectors, which were on the submersible
pumps, which were in the old SW gasoline tanks, which were replaced with
the DW tank in July 1998. Mechanical leak detectors are not required as the
option we have chosen for monitoring from the California State Water
Resources Control Board Regulations. I refer you to regulation 2643 (f),
(3),
A continuous monitoring system, which shuts down the pump in
addition to activating the alarm system satisfies the automatic leak
detector requirement.
2643(g) — Annual tightness test
260 Michelle Court
South San Francisco
California 94080.6297
650.616.3450
FAX 650.952.5861
rustytC,oly.com
