SITE CONTROL/WORK ZONES <br /> A.. DESCRIBE WORK ZONES AT THE SITE ; THESE MUST INCLUDE EXCLUSION <br /> ZONE , DECONTAMINATION ZONE , AND SUPPORT ZONE . ZONES MAY BE <br /> RELOCATED AS WORK PROGRESSES. <br /> EXCLUSIONS: The exclusion zone shall extend 20 feet around any <br /> excavation or equipment work area. <br /> DECONTAMINATION 'S: The decontamination zone location shall be <br /> determined by the site supervisor/safety officer in cooperation <br /> with the client. Wind direction is not considered to be a factor <br /> in placing the decontamination zone for the anticipated fuel <br /> constituents. <br /> SUPPORT: The support zone shall be the remainder of the site, <br /> outside of the decontamination zone. <br /> B. DESCRIBE SECURITY MEASURES AT SITE (FENCING, LOCKED GATES, <br /> GUARDS, FLAGGING, ETC. ) <br /> Temporary fencing/security <br /> DECONTAMINATION <br /> A. Sampling devices shall be decontaminated before each use and before <br /> leaving the site. They shall be washed with Alconox detergent <br /> rinsed with tap water, and then rinsed with distilled water. Rinse <br /> water shall be collected in buckets. <br /> B. PERSONNEL: Under Level D protection, boots and hard hats shall be <br /> rinsed with soap and water. All exposed skin areas shall be washed <br /> with soap and water before leaving the site. Work clothes shall be <br /> washed normally as soon as possible. All on-site washing shall be <br /> done in the decontamination Zone. <br /> C. Decontamination water shall be placed in 35-gallon polyethylene <br /> barrels with a lid and clamping ring and labeled as <br /> "decontamination water possibly containing petroleum hydrocarbons.
