MONITORING EQUIPMENT
Secondarily contained storage tanks and lines at this facility are mosritored by a continuous
electronic leak detection system which consists of an alarm panel, sensors and associated
electronics. Liquid sensors are installed in the annu!ar space of each double ,wall tank and
product line piping sump. Whenever a sensor detects the presence,of a liquid there is both a
visual and audible alarm at the control panel. In addition, the continuous monitor on the
product piping system will shut down the pump and activate the alarm system when a release
is detected or if the continuous product piping monitoring system Oils or is disconnected, the
pumping system will shut down.
I
Automatic line leaf: detectors are installed on the secondarily conta'ned pressIurized product
piping. The line leak detector will detect a loss of pressure in the poduct linos and restrict
the flow of product.
I
2. NIATNTENANCE SCHEDULE OF NIONITORING EOUIPM.ENI
I
The continuous electronic leak detection systemm including line leak IlIdetectors;will be
inspected according to the manufacturer's instructions by an outsid$ contractor once during
each calendar year.
3. ROUTINE MONITOW G PROCEDURE
On a daily basis the facility operator shall:
A. Inspect the control panel for visual and audible alarm signals to confirm that
the unit is operating.
B. Inspect island and tank fill areas for signs of spillage or Petr I6ieum sheen
C.
