SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY MOSQUITO AND VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT
7759 S. Airport Way, Stockton, CA 95206-3918
Monitoring System and Response Plan for Underground Storage Tanks
For The San Joaquin County Mosquito and Vector Control District.
Compliance to California UST Regulations, Section 2632 (e) (1) (2)
The secondary containment system of the underground (U/G) fuel
and oil storage tanks and product delivery lines will be
continuously monitored by Petrometer Corporation Model 20 Tank Leak
Alarms at the Stockton facility. The Lodi facility is also
serviced by Petrometer Corp. Model 20 Tank Leak Alarms in addition
to a Pollulert Model C.D. 101.
These systems include a central monitor panel for each channel
being monitored. Each panel has the following:
1. One (1) green light to indicate the system is functioning,
and is not in an alarm condition.
2 . One (1) red light which turns on if there is any
interruption of the circuit.
3 . One (1) red light which turns on when the substance being
monitored makes contact with the probe. This condition will also
sound an audio alarm immediately.
The shop foreman (Stockton) and the Lodi supervisor (Lodi)
conduct daily inspection tests on monitoring system to ensure alarm
and lights are in working condition. An inspection sheet is signed
and condition stated by inspector after each inspection.
The monitors for the Stockton facility are located in the shop
office/break-room next to the west and east doors. The monitors
are located on the south wall of the pesticide building at the Lodi
facility. These locations ensure that the monitors can be seen by
employees several times during the work day. It is also easily
accessible to maintenance personnel and any other authorized
persons required to inspect the system.
