II. SITE LOCATION: Pacific Bell <br /> 1113 Bourbon Street <br /> Stockton, CA. <br /> III. SCOPE OF WORK: Remove one(1) 3,000 gallon Diesel underground storage tank Surround tank excavation <br /> with 6' high temporary chain link fencing. Make sure fencing is secure each evening at the <br /> conclusion of the work day. Verify residual tank contents are removed by Pacific Bell. <br /> Break out and remove the existing concrete slab covering the underground storage tank. <br /> Excavate to un-cover the tank, all soils removed will be placed on visquin and covered with <br /> visquin. Disconnect all piping from the tank and plug all openings. Environment contractor <br /> (IT Corporation)will triple rinse and dispose of all rinseate as per current guidelines. Inert <br /> the tank with 30 pound of dry ice per 1,000 gallons of tank capacity. Once the lead agency <br /> representatives are on-site verify oxygen and LEL reading with the representative. If the <br /> readings are in the acceptable range and with the lead agency approval; use an appropriate <br /> lifting device to remove the tank from the excavation and load the tank onto a truck provided <br /> by the environmental contractor, this will include all piping, supply,return and vent lines. <br /> Assist the environmental contractor in taking soil samples. Once the soil sample results are <br /> known and if the stockpiled soils are acceptable to be used as backfill return the spoils to the <br /> excavation and re-compact to 95%. Re-surface the tank excavation area with asphalt 3" <br /> thick. Final clean-up. <br /> D-2 <br />
