3_ Piping Compatibility — Piping, tubing, valves, fittings and related components shall be designed and fabricated <br /> from materials compatible with the material to be contained. <br /> 4. Piping Pressure Tests — It shall be demonstrated that piping being used to convey hazardous liquids is of adequate <br /> strength and durability to withstand the pressure under which the piping will be subjected. The proposed piping shall be <br /> pneumatically tested at 150% of the maximum anticipated pressure of the system for a 24-hour period, or it shall be <br /> tested according to manufacture guidelines. Contact the Fire Marshal's Office to schedule verification inspections for the <br /> pressure test. <br /> S. Placarding — Due to the amount of hazardous materials being contained within the proposed tanks, hazard placards <br /> shall be provided far each tank_ Review of the California Fire Code and NFPA 704 Standards are necessary references <br /> to determine the correct numbering for each NI=PA 704 placard. <br /> 6. Maintenance Practices for f=lammable/Combustible Liquids - Maintenance and operating practices shall be in <br /> accordance with established procedures which will tend to control leakage and unauthorized discharge of flammable or <br /> combustible liquids. Spills shall be cleaned up promptly. <br /> VT Signage and Labeling Requirements--The tank(s) shall be properly identified with signage stating the contents <br /> within the vessel, the hazard identification has per NEPA 704 Standards), and "No Smoking — No Open Flame <br /> within 25 feet_ All associated piping leading to and from the aboveground tank (vessel) shall be appropriately <br /> labeled with type of contents and directional flow of the product, <br /> /8. Aboveground Tank & Piping Protection —Crash posts shall be installed as required by the California Fire Code <br /> �✓ (CFC) to protect any aboveground storage vessel, piping, etc. that is susceptible to potential vehicular (impact) <br /> damage.
