1.1 <br />11/09/93 04:41 V714 454 9800 ]LOESTIC TECH Q008 <br />7.0 WORK PLAN <br />1. Soil Samples will be taken according to the specifications set <br />forth in the Chemical Aquisition Data Plan and sent to the <br />prescribed laboratory, as directed by the Project Manager. The <br />Project Manager will be acting on instructions from the County of <br />Orange. <br />2. Any open trenches or unsafe work areas will be barricaded with red <br />plastic fences and will be posted with warning signs. At no time <br />will any roads or streets be blocked. <br />3. When samples results are returned and directions are given by the <br />Project Manager.the trenches and holes in work areas will be <br />backfilled according to work specifications. The area Shall be <br />repaved to match existing Surrounding conditions. <br />8. Removal of tanks on this site will be performed according to <br />specifications set forth in work plan. <br />TANK REMOVAL PLAN <br />1. Set up barricades and traffic control, if required. <br />2. Make sure there are no sources of ignition with 100 feet of the <br />operations, including smoking, welding. cutting, and all other <br />sources of ignition. <br />3. Inquire as to what tank contained. date of installation, and date <br />last used. <br />a. Obtain information, such as approximate age and site of tanks to be <br />removed. <br />g. Remove, by vacuum pumping, all liquids from the tank and all <br />connecting lines into a vacuum truck. <br />6. Disconnect all lines, vent outlets, remove or plug. as required. <br />
