CHANGE OF INFORMATION ROL
I. FACILITY INFORMATION
ID it (Agen Use Only) NAME _
CI'T'Y RW.
U. SPILL CONTROL AND CLEANUP METHOD
This plan addresses unai thorized releases from UST systems and supplements the emergency response plans and procedures i 1 the facility's Hazard 1 s Materials
Business Plan.
D If safe to do so, facil
remaining hazardous
personnel will.take immediate measures to control or stop any release (e.g., activate pump shut -oft, a c.) and, if necessary, ; t ely remove
nateiial from the UST system.
D Any release to secor fary containment will be pumped or otherwise removed within a time consistent with the ability of the secondary containm a t system to
contain the hazardou material, but not greater than 30 calendar days, or sooner if required by the local agency. Recovered hair
rdous materials, unles till suitable
for their intended use will be managed as hazardous waste.
y Absorbent material v,
11 be used to contain and clean up manageable spills of hazardous materials. Absorbent material may be I Bused until it becomes t. o saturated
to be effective. It wit then be managed properly. Used absorbent material, reusable or waste, will be stored in a properly labele, i and scalrd Ggntftinc
D Facility personnel wi
determine whether or not any water removed from secondary containment systems, or from clean-up at tivity, has been in coral :t with any
hazardous material.
the water is contaminated, it will be managed as hazardous waste. If the water has a petroleurn sheen (i.e., rainbow c dors), it is
contaminated. A thi
floating petroleum layer may not necessarily display rainbow colors. Water (hazardous or non-hazartiot, s) from sumps, spill ct in akws, etc,
will not be disposed
storm water systems.
9 We will review Seco
ry containment systems for possible deterioration if any of the following conditions occur:
1. Hazardous mawI
in contact with secondary containment is not compatible with the material used for secondary c o ttainm, mr
2. Secondary contai iment is prone to damage from any equipment used to remove or clean up hazardous material collected in secondary containmen..
3. Hazardous matce
al, other than the product/waste stored in the primary containment system, is placed inside secondary containment to treat a neutralize
released productt
vaste, and the added material or resulting material from such a combination is not compatibie with secondiry containment.
III. SPILL CONTROL AND CLEAN-UP EQUIPMENT
PERIODIC MAINTEN
CE: Spill control and clean-up equipment kept permanently on-site is listed in the facility's Hazard lus Materials Busines, 'Ian.
