Subsurface Environmental Investigation September 28, 1988
ARCO Service Station No. 4932, Stockton, California AGS 38051-1
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
The soil sample was tested by Mobile Chem Labs, Inc., of San
Carlos, California, for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
and diesel by modified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Method 8015 and the volatile organic constituents benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers by EPA Method
8020. Sequoia Laboratories of Redwood City, California, analyzed
the sample for chlorinated halocarbons by EPA Method 8010,
polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and the heavy metals cadmium,
chromium, lead, and zinc. These analyses were requested by the
San Joaquin Local Health District.
Results of laboratory analyses indicate no detectable levels of
petroleum hydrocarbons, halogenated volatile organics, or PCBs
present below the former location of the waste -oil storage tank.
Concentrations of heavy metals in the sample analyzed were below
total threshold limit concentrations recommended by the
California Department of Health Services. The results of the
analyses performed are shown in Table 1. Copies of laboratory
analytical reports are included in the Appendix to this report.
4
Applied GeoSystems
