Retestable containment piping Fig. 6. Wall penetrations can be made using flexible test boots and fiberglass centralizers. The 90° centralizers are adhesive bonded inside the 3 -inch fiberglass containment pipe at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions in accordance with the instructions contained in Ameron publication FP535 (B revision or later). The centralizers ensure free drainage from the annular space between the primary and secondary and serve to reduce side loading on the test boot. Adhesive bonding of the centralizers to the containment pipe is necessary to maintain them in the proper position under actual service conditions where movement of the flexible piping may occur. Permanent retestabr'lity of the lines can be provided by installing copper tubing or the equivalent in lieu of the temporary air -line assemblies. FLEXIBLE PIPING Dualoy 3000/FLX 11111/2 - inch (ID) primary piping is delivered to the job site In coils of 500 feet. End connectors are swaged onto the primary piping at the job site. Once in place, the end connectors are capable of both circumferential and axial movement for easier installation and make-up. The length of the end connectors figures into the calculation of the overall length for any given run of pipe. RIGID -WALL PIPE AND FITTINGS Dualoy 3000/1- rigid -wall pipe and fittings are used to contain Dualoy 3000/F LX II flexible primary piping and in singie-wall vent and vapor recovery lines.
