When I received the bill it was for$6,120.00,
$3,060.00 was for tank fees, and 63,060.00 for pertuthos.1 asked him why I was penetimel
and he informed me that "it was the law'1 1 then asked him how I could appeal the
rpmenahe e infuriated at I could n ,and then he said otouEd fight there) the Only way 1 could is to
pay[and they willtake me o
I find it hard to believe that as a citizen that I do not have the right of appeal for something
that 1 do not agree with and do not owe.
I have been in business in the city of Lodi for 30 years and we have never run in[e a
situation like this before_ To be told the only remedy to a situation like this is not Pay d
and they will take me to court is an moulting remark to make to a small Businessman.
R is beyond my comprehension that(1)1 should know that 1 should have been Paying the
County money for tanks that l had it the ground when I have been out of the gasoline
business for years before this law he is talking about was enacted and (2) 1 was never
mmltiedl, but Mr.Wilson states: "there have been hundreds of newspaper ariicies on this
subject"and (3)that there is no appeal process for this is an outrage to me as a citizen
and a taxpayer.
i don't know what you or the other Supervisors can do about this, but I would appreciate
any help or guidance you can give me.
Very truly yours,
Keflin Reilly
Owner
Cc: Board of Supervisors
4 pages including this
