On Saturday,July 18, 1998 we received a bill
from your office dated 71f6f98 backdating to 1993 for"U57 TANK FEE•-$170"totalling
half of which was for"UST TANK FEE"of$3,060-00 and penalties of the same
amount of$3.060.00. -
Reilly's Gar Wash went out of the gasoline business in 1981,and the tanks were emptied,
and have not been Used since that time- We are at present preparing to do some
renovation an the location, and so it was decided to remove the tanks from the ground.
The reason for this letter is that I was forewamed about the UST permit tee,but I do not
feel tharthe Penalty portion Is fair,as we have not been using these tanks for some 17
years.
Is there an appeal process for the penalties that have been levied against my location or is
this a decision that can come from you or your office.
Kevin Reilly
Owner
