Ah Ah <br /> . Attachment E <br /> CODE OF SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> Safety and health in our business must be part of every operation. Without <br /> question, it is every employee's responsibility at all levels. It is the intent of <br /> Tank Excavators to comply with all laws. To do this, we must constantly be <br /> aware of conditions in all work areas that can produce injuries or illnesses. No <br /> employee is required to work at a job he/she knows is not safe or healthful. Your <br /> cooperation in detecting hazards and, in turn, controlling them is a condition of <br /> your employment. Inform your supervisor immediately of any situation beyond <br /> your ability or authority to correct. Listed below is Tank Excavators' Code of <br /> Safe Work Practices. <br /> All personnel must be Familiar with standard operating procedures and <br /> additional safety instructions contained in the site safety plan. <br /> Required respiratory protective devices and clothing must be worn by all <br /> on-site personnel. <br /> Consumption of. alcoholic beverages and use of non-prescription drugs is <br /> prohibited. <br /> 00 Contact with contaminated or potentially contaminated surfaces should be <br /> avoided. <br /> 00 Hands and face must be thoroughly washed before leaving the work area, and <br /> before eating, drinking, or other activities. <br /> 00 Eating, drinking, chewing gum or tobacco, smoking or any practices that <br /> increase the probability of hand-to-mouth transfer and ingestion of material are <br /> prohibited in any area designated as contaminated. <br /> 00 Personnel must use the buddy system when working around heavy <br /> equipment, using respirators, or engaging in any potentially hazardous activity. <br /> 00 Employees are required to understand the potential hazards of their job <br /> duties . See the 'Employee .fob Hazards' handout. <br /> 00 Every accident is to be reported to management within 24 hours whether or <br /> not an injury occurs. <br /> 00 Employees may not alter any item of safety equipment unless specifically <br /> authorized to do so. <br /> An employee must not attempt to move or lift heavy or bulky objects beyond <br /> his/her capacity. <br /> 00 Equipment and tools must always be used and maintained according to <br /> standard operating procedures. <br />
