Training
Electricians will become familiar with the monitoring equipment
system and will have access to appropriate manufacturer's manuals
which are kept in the facility's engineering office. Training will
be provided by a maintenance supervisor who is very familiar with
the monitoring equipment. If necessary, the supplier of the
equipment can also provide additional training.
Emergency Response Plan
LOF believes that the design of the underground storage tank and
tank monitoring system significantly reduces the possibility of an
unauthorized release. If the monitoring system indicates the
possibility of a release, the monitoring equipment will be checked
to determine if the alarm is accurate. Upon confirmation, the
Environmental Coordinator will be notified.
LOF will retained a licensed contractor for the purpose of
responding to an unauthorized release. Upon consultation with the
contractor, LOF will take appropriate action to prevent further
release and follow appropriate state and local guidelines regarding
any remediation of the site. Procedures for responding to
incidents related to release of gasoline from the filling of the
underground tank are covered in the facility's "Emergency Action
Plan for Hazardous Materials".
The following persons may authorize any necessary work related to
an emergency response.
Charles Clark - Plant Manager
Phil Berberich - Plant Engineer
Jon Weiss - Environmental Coordinator
