tPhase II Site Assessment WorkplanlHealth and Safety Plan October 1996 <br /> for the Lodi RaibMultimodal Station Project No. E168-1 <br /> 7. Plan required Health and Safety Equipment (i.e., hard hats, long sleeved shirts, <br /> eyewear, gloves, boots, etc.) <br /> ' Level D protective equipment is proposed. This will include hard hats, work boots, long <br /> pants and long sleeve shirts and gloves. Use neoprene gloves when handling excavated soil. <br /> Half face respirators will be available. <br /> 8. Safety Procedures <br /> Use of Level D PPE. All breaks, eating, and drinking will be done at least 30 feet from <br /> current site work. Wash hands prior to eating. No skin contact with drilling or excavation <br /> ' cuttings/spoils. Use neoprene gloves when handling excavated soil. <br /> Site visitors will not be allowed within 30 feet of current excavation and/or drilling location. <br /> Site Entry/Access <br /> Access from driveways and bordering curbs on Sacramento St., Elm St., Pine St., and Oak <br /> t St. <br /> Monitoring <br /> Photo Ionization Detector; Visual; Odor <br /> Egress <br /> Same as entry/access <br /> Decontamination <br /> ' Excavation and sampling equipment will be steam cleaned and/or TSP washed at the <br /> excavation location. Rinse water will remain on site in approved drums until characterized <br /> ' for appropriate disposal. <br /> 9.
