Soil boring advancement and sample collection will be performed <br /> under the direction of SJCEHD personnel. <br /> Following collection,the ends of the sampling tubes will be covered with Teflon tape and <br /> capped. The soil samples will then be appropriately labeled,placed in a cooler with ice, and <br /> transported under chain-of-custody protocol to the analytical laboratory. <br /> Sample Analysis <br /> The soil samples will be submitted on a 24-hour turnaround time to McCampbell Analytical, <br /> Inc., an ELAP-certified laboratory located in Pacheco,California, for analysis. The samples will <br /> be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel(TPH-D)under EPA method 8015 <br /> (modified), and for benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes(BTEX)constituents and the <br /> fuel oxygenate methyl tertiary butyl ether(MTBE)under EPA method 8260. On the chain-of- <br /> custody,the analytical laboratory will be directed to transmit a copy of the analytical report to <br /> Shaw and the SJCEHD via email and a hard copy mailed directly to the SJCEHD office. <br /> Reporting <br /> A report will then be prepared by Shaw documenting field activities,and will include copies of <br /> any permits issued, figures,tables, and laboratory analytical reports.
