9.03 Hazardous Materials-rolicy <br /> 2. If the initial monitoring discloses employee exposure over the <br /> action level or PEL, SJRHS will perform periodic monitoring in <br /> compliance with the relevant standard. <br /> 3. Monitoring will be terminated in accordance with the relevant <br /> standard. <br /> 4. Monitoring results will be provided to the employee within 15 <br /> working days of receipt the results, either individually, in writing, <br /> or by posting in an appropriate location. <br /> V. Responsibilities <br /> A. Safety Officer <br /> 1. Will determine whether the number and location of eye wash <br /> stations are adequate in areas where corrosive materials are stored, <br /> handled, or used and that all stations are maintained in good <br /> working order. <br /> 2. Will ensure that waste disposal methods meet EPA, state, county <br /> and local requirements. <br /> 3. Will ensure that ventilation systems meet OSHA and EPA <br /> standards and that they are maintained in working order. <br /> 4. Will review and evaluate the effectiveness of the Hazardous <br /> Materials Program annually and update it as necessary. <br /> 5. Will ensure that appropriate signage is posted as required by the <br /> standard. <br /> 6. Will maintain readily accessible copies of MSDSs for all <br /> hazardous chemicals used within SJRHS. <br /> B. Department Managers <br /> 1. Will ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is <br /> available for emergency and regular working conditions and that it <br /> is properly maintained. <br /> 2.
